The Daily Writings

This blog is about everyday life guidance and motivation.

Today I'll be telling you about the The Best Motivational Books and I suggest that you should really read them to keep yourselves motivated and keep going because life is all about moving on no matter what.

The first book here is,

THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A F*CK by Mark Manson:

The author of this book is Mark Manson. The book was #6 on New York Bestseller list 2016.
Mark talks about self improvement and tells how staying positive all the time isn't actually the key to success. We need to get over that and face the reality.

"To not give a f*ck is to stare down life’s most terrifying and difficult challenges and still take action"

Finding something important and meaningful in your life is the most productive use of your time and energy. This is true because every life has problems associated with it and finding meaning in your life will help you sustain the effort needed to overcome the particular problems you face. Thus, we can say that the key to living a good life is not giving a fuck about more things, but rather, giving a fuck only about the things that align with your personal values.

The magnitude of your success is tied to how many times you’ve failed at that thing.
Goals are limited in the amount of happiness they can provide in our lives because they are finite. Once you achieve the goal, it can no longer provide happiness because the finish line has been crossed. Paradoxically, then, by choosing processes as your focus, you can increase your overall, lifelong happiness by focusing on the process and not the goal. Processes never end, which means happiness can continue indefinitely.

THE NECTAR OF PAIN by Najwa Zebian:

In The Nectar of Pain,  Zebian sheds light on the feelings and experiences that emerge from a painful heartbreak. She writes that the process of cleansing oneself of that pain—day by day, hour by hour, and second by second—is the real work of healing. With uncommon warmth and wisdom, Zebian empowers all who have lost to let go of anger and transform their suffering into the softness, sweetness, and beauty of nectar. She holds her readers by the hand as they heal.

MIND PLATTER by Najwa Zebian:

Mind Platter is a compilation of reflections on life through the eyes of an educator, student and human who experienced most of life in silence. It is written in the words of a person who came from Lebanon to Canada at the age of sixteen and experienced what it was like to have fate push you to a place where you don't belong. It is written in the voice of every person who ever felt unheard, mistreated, misjudged or unseen.

Mind Platter is not about the words that are in it, but about what the reader makes of them. This book does not only belong to me. It belongs to everyone whose path crossed mine. Had my journey not have been what it was, with every story and every detail, I would not be the same person today. May this book give a voice to those who need one, be a crying shoulder for those who need someone to listen, and inspire those who need a reminder of the power that they have over their lives.

I personally recommend this book becuase of its great quotes such as " To the ocean in you Don't be afraid to rage" "These mountains you're carrying , were only supposed to climb".

These are highly motivational books that you must read. These books promise the reality of the life and teaches ow to face failures and being responsible for making your own life better and the life you wanted. The authors speaks for all those people whose words are left unspoken, unread and the authors the mediums through which these unspoken words are spoken and felt connected to.

WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T YOU DO by Daniel Chidiac:

A moment came in Daniel Chidiac's life when he realized he wasn't living his truth. His work didn't fulfill him, his relationships hurt him, and he was making choices that didn't align with his true values. But he did have the ability to know his own purpose--a gift we all have--and thus his journey began.

Daniel studied the lives of great achievers, sought guidance from spiritual leaders, and discovered the secrets for shaping one's own destiny. He used his personal experience of changing his life to create this powerful seven-step guide to discovering your true self, committing to your own life, and pushing beyond your known limits.

Standing out for his incisive wisdom and complete lack of gimmicks, Daniel Chidiac is an inspiring, insightful, and honest guide. His empowering system has spread organically, and it has already changed the lives of legions of readers. With practical exercises and interactive tools, this book challenges you to ask hard questions and make life-changing decisions--and ultimately guides you to the fulfillment you have been seeking. Get ready to be intrigued, fascinated, and amazed. Not by this book, but by your own power.

WHAT HAPPENED IN MY FIRST MONTH OF BLOGGING?

Well, I wasn't really interested at all in blogging until this last December that is a month ago. While I was surfing the internet I came across "wordpress" advertisement and I clicked on it, so it took me to the Sign-Up page and I thought that I should give it a shot and I entered my details and signed up. Then they asked me to name my site and I didn't even take a second to think of a name and i named it " Daily Thoughts". I actually didn't really take it very serious so I gave it a random name. Then I started thinking about posting something. And my first post was about "Facts About Cold And Flu" and it was seen by only 25 people, though that was quite a lot for me.

After a few days I switched to Blogger (and I'm still on it) i don't know why I did but yeah blogger is quite nice. Well, after importing my posts here I left blogging and thought that its not something I'm really interested in. Though around mid December I came across one artist on Instagram and was really fascinated by her sketches and I asked her about her drawings and some tips(because I'm an art person too). And she was kind enough to give me some tips. And I decided to post an article about her and her drawings so I told her that I want to post about her on my Blog and she was really nice to email me her details and her drawings and soon I wrote the article and posted it. And because she was quite famous and had quite a nice following I was able to bag a few ore views than usual.

The increase in views really made me happy and for the first time i took these views seriously and wanted them to keep increasing. and earlier views, really didn't matter to me as the posts that I had been posting as just a part of my experiment with blogging. I began to search more about blogging tips and saw a lot of income reports and i thought even I want to monetize my blog but for that traffic is really important. And the way the pro bloggers gives the tips they aren't really easy to implement in real and start gaining traffic, they make it sound so easy that one will think that once they do what they said they'll start getting thousand of views the next moment.

I started spending hours researching about blogs and monetizing tips and I started taking my blog and its posts very seriously and blogging all the more  got way more interesting. But I struggled with choosing the topics to blog about (and I still am) because I am quite interested in Art so i thought I should start posting my drawings and a lot of drawing tips but I also wanted to post about some motivational+ everyday life things and how to handle them, I also loved making memes (even though some of them are cringey).

I decided to make different blogs for my different interests and that really needs time and a lot of hard work . I've already made an art blog but haven't started posting really well, you can check it out here.
Though for now I'm just thinking about gaining some decent amount of traffic and will think about monetizing when its the right time. Right now I'm focusing on the content of my blog and trying to make it helpful for my audience.

Writing good content and helpful content is really important to gain audience for your blog because if your content is really helpful for them they'll come back to you for more helpful content .

HERE'S ONE BOOK TO HELP YOU GUIDE ON YOUR FIRST MONTH OF BLOGGING TO WRITE GREAT CLICK HERE TO VIEW.

I made a facebook page for my blog but within a few minutes after posting my blog link it suspended my account , that really pissed me off so I made another account and they did the same thing and even Instagram blocked my website link after facebook did and on Instagram the link had been there since I started my Instagram account. But when fb did that to my link so did Instagram. Now i just post on my twitter account that's it.

When you're totally new its good to research about it and subscribe to some nice 5 to 6 day course so that they'll guide you through the basics and tips. During my research I learnt about SEO, backlinks, Keywords and so many things. Though I still have to learn a lot of things about them. It'll take some time and dedication with hardwork but it will work. Make sure to have definite goals and strategy and planning about your blog and its content so that you're not all over the place and you are aware what you're going to do next.

Reading other blogger's guides will help you understand blogging more nicely. So make sure you keep an eye on the way they write and how their content looks appealing and try to grasp it make sure to check this book out The Content writing guide.

We've all had some points in our lives where we had  lost hopes in ourselves and started thinking of how unsuccessful, how unworthy we are. This happens mainly when you are being compared with others or you compare yourself with others (which happens most of the time and we all do that).

When others compare a person with other people , there are generally 2 results , either the person starts to think how unworthy he is and believes what others say or the person tries to prove himself that he is better than the one he is being compared with and sometimes in proving themselves right they often take wrong steps because of the jealousy.

When we compare ourselves with others we start to think why we're not like them, why they have better looks than us, why they are much more popular than us, why they have so many followers than we have, and so on. When one starts to think this way they build up insecurities in them and sometimes or say, more often people tend to face anxiety because of this. This is then when we need to cheer up ourselves and build our self confidence strong and also the belief in ourselves.
It is necessary that we help ourselves to come out of these situations because when we try to get out of these insecurities we are adapting ourselves in such a way that we become much more stronger than what we were and nothing could break our confidence self belief in ourselves. But if you are facing anxiety and depression then it is best to reach out to a close family member or a friend and tell them and have a talk about this. This will surely help you.

The most important thing I want to say here is , you are the best in your own unique way , there are things that you can do but others can't, there are your friends and family members who value you and know how precious and important you are to them. Stop comparing yourself with others out there because you are YOU  and that's what you are unique for. And a lot of people say that Looks does matter, I'd say looks doesn't matter at all! Tell me one thing would you like it if you were just loved for your looks? which is not even "love" just a mere attraction, that won't even last for long. Someone who loves you truly and value you for who you are will always see through your physical body right into you soul and heart and will never stop loving you ever. Your friends never made you friends for looks or rejected you because you don't fit into some beauty criteria, did they? No! because they are your friends because they did see something unique in you , something precious and you just connected with them instantly.

Social media addiction

This is the Era of technology where almost everything is based on the technology , the more we are progressing the more is the demand of  upgrading things to a modern and time saving technology is increasing. One of the top grossing technologies is the Internet. And one of the major contribution of the internet is Social Media. The use of Social Media has excessively increased in the past few years and the most used social platforms are Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat.

The excessive use of these social medias could a
depression and anxiety
dversely affect the mental and physical health of a person. The technology that was meant for our benefit is affecting us in so many negative ways.
Especially if you are a student and you're so much addicted to social media, then definitely you'll be ending up harming yourself mentally and it may result in poor mental health, anxiety and depression.

If you are still wondering whether you are addicted to it or not then you may ask yourself , can you spend a day without checking your news feed, DMs, what the celeb posted and so on? Well if the answer is NO , then you may count yourself as one of those social media addicts. And let me tell you if you're wondering if this  is super bad ,then calm down this is no big deal unless, you're facing some major consequences ,otherwise almost all of us are some or the other way addicted to our social media.

Now finally! lets see what are the ways by which we can try avoiding Social media.

STEPS TO AVOID SOCIAL MEDIA:

If you don't want to totally cut off yourself from the social media then try this step-

1. Minimizing The Time You Spend on screen:

Optimizing the time we spend on social media is very important and you can do it by setting a definite time duration of your use and interaction with it . Now apps like instagram have the usage tracking tool by which you can analyze your usage of the app or you can track your activity by simply checking your App usage from you Device's Setting for iOS and Android. This will help you analyze the usage of your Social media and then you can easily reduce the usage time. 45 min of social media usage per day is more than enough to catch up with all the latest trend and current affairs. Limiting your time around this duration and keeping it as minimal as possible will definitely help you.

2. Suppressing the Urge:

It all starts with the urge of checking for any new post or any new comment and no. of likes you got on your new post, what your favourite Youtuber or a celeb has posted. This feeling of "not missing out anything new" is one of the major causes of the addiction which provokes us to keep checking our smartphones . Even if there's nothing new to check we just keep scrolling and stuff just because we are bored , which makes us sticking to the phone most of the time.

Now to suppress this urge , the first and foremost step is to TURN OFF your Notifications of your application so that you stop receiving them and get buzzed about any new notification. This will reduce the urge and stop you from checking your social media to a great extent. And divert your mind elsewhere. This step also depends on a person's patience and self control level. A person with high patience level is most likely to easily ignore the urge but those who face difficulty should try to engage themselves in something else which keeps you busy and doesn't pokes you to check your social media.

3. Engagement In Other Activities:

Once you've done the step 2 then make yourself occupied with some work or activity.
You can engage yourself i practicing your hobbies and believe me that really works. Set a small goal for the accomplishment of a task related to hobby or any certain work, etc. and try to complete it on time.Or you can also try learning something new! Like my hobby is sketching , I try to stay focused  on the goal I set and try to complete it on time. For example, I set my goals like - 2 sketches per week , practicing painting and so on, and these goals keep me busy and make me forget about my social media and I don't open it for days.

And apart from all these spend time with your family and friends.

4. The Ultimate Detox:

If you want you can completely deactivate and take a break from all of the social media platforms and relax. Cutting down yourself from the online world reduce your stress to a great extent. Some people may not know but they may be having stress about how you don't fit in the "perfect shape" picture and they keep comparing themselves to those Instagram models, Youtubers, Celebrities  with perfect body and with all those dozens of filters , showcasing their best side, and we see only the side that they want to show that is the best side of them. People are forgetting about self love and how to embrace themselves, trying to fit-in in someone else's shoe which is not even meant for them.

Detoxing is the best way to take a break and staying away from all these buzz and figuring out and knowing yourself better.

I hope this article was helpful to you, you can also comment down below to give me a feedback and that will be really appreciating and grateful for me.

All You Need To Know About This Italy Based Artist

I came across an Instagram page where there were the coloured pencil and sketches I really loved them so I decided to dedicate this post to her , to dear Sara.

Sara is an Italy based artist who lives in Rome.As described by Sara "Rome is extraordinary,it will be quite messed up in some some respects, but I can assure you that the opportunities and the wonder of things to see are absolutely worth it."Sara was into drawings  since she was 12 inspired by her grandma who is also her idol. Drawing is a way for expressing herself and a way to relax.

Drawing is not just her only passion, writing is also one of her passions and the name that she usually use "Sara Scrive" means Sara writes in Italian. Before drawing her interest was n writing and often wrote stories and posted online. She also likes to read and is into tv series and it's fandom which is where her creativity mostly comes from. Most of her drawings includes characters from the tv series and Italian movies.

Voldemort(she indeed is a potterhead!)
Sara is a very "sunny" person as described by her living in a family of 9 she has 7 sisters and says she's lucky to live in such family where she is supported by her family and they've taught her so much. She is very determined for her goals and I hope she and very sure that she will go a long way.

Who doesn't love success? All these celebrities, politicians,Forbes personalities and winning sports person symbolize success to most of the people.Yet these icons themselves have confessed that they feel something is missing from their lives. having everything and yet experiencing a void is scary.
why is this so? Of course because we are perhaps not aware that success does not mean only a hefty bank account or millions of followers on social media, but something more.

meditation
Success can be called true success only when it brings happiness that is lasting, happiness which brightens us from within which brings inner piece. A better understanding of life and a clear calm head are the prerequisite for being successful.success is primarily dependent on inner victories. here inner victories that I'm talking about is winning over ourselves ,bringing inner piece , having a disciplined mind. We should be aware of out inner potential of doing good to others and good things ,these good deeds not only brings calmness and a sense of happiness in ourselves but it starts emitting the good vies from us and the people around us will feel the positive vibes. You'll be one attractive , charming personality, that everyone would like to be with.

You can try meditating to connect with your inner self spiritually.focus your attention inward, there will be a new surge of power and strength which will rejuvenate your mind body and soul. But you need to practice meditation regularly and patiently don't seek for the results just in one attempt or two. for instance if the muddy water is left to stand still for sometime the water becomes crystal clear, similarly,in meditation the mud of your restless thoughts starts settling gradually, the power of your divinity starts reflecting in the clear water of your consciousness.
what is Success

Be Patient and don't run behind success that  is not a real success which doesn't bring peace in your life.

May You Grow,May you Heal.
May God bring happiness in your life.
